  1. Aaron Allston; a gifted author who has given us the definitive Janson.
  2. Bothan – the only species Janson has any success with romantically.
  3. Commendations for bravery; “Like he needs another.” – Wedge Antilles
  4. Kissek Doran; Kell Tainer’s father and the first man Janson killed. A pilot of the Tierfon Yellow Aces who panicked and jeopardised a mission, forcing Janson to shoot him down against his will.
  5. Kettch the Ewok; a fictional character that Janson invents in order to tease Wedge. Kettch is supposedly a genetically modified Ewok who can speak Basic and pilot a fighter using prosthetic limb attachments. Later Lara Notsil, an ex–member of Wraith Squadron, comes across an Ewok who actually has been genetically modified in this way.
  6. The Millennium Falsehood; the name given to the mock–Millennium Falcon the Wraiths try to ensnare Warlord Zsinj with.
  7. Gunner; In his only film appearance, Janson is Wedge’s gunner.
  8. Hoth; the stormy, snowy planet on which a battle takes place in The Empire Strikes Back.
  9. Iron Fist; a super star destroyer and the capital ship of Warlord Zsinj. Also the name of a book in which Janson features prominently.
  10. Jek Porkins; the pilot who took the place of Janson in the first deathstar run.
  11. Derek “Hobbie” Klivian (mis–spelt as Klivan in some of the comics and the first Wraith Squadron book); Janson’s best friend.
  12. Ian Liston; the actor who played Janson in The Empire Strikes Back.
  13. Merry; the adjective most frequently used to describe Janson.
  14. Night Crawler; the name of the shuttle that the Wraiths acquisition in Wraith Squadron.
  15. Ostentatious; an adjective that suitably describes the cloak featuring flatscreen flexible panels portraying Janson line–dancing that Wes wears in Starfighters of Adumar.
  16. Pilot; Janson’s primary career.
  17. Quartermaster; a duty Janson held for a short period of time.
  18. Rogue Squadron; the most famous squadron of the Rebel Alliance and New Republic, of which Janson was a member for many years.
  19. Sithspit! – a Rogue pilot’s favourite curse word.
  20. Tierfon Yellow Aces; the first squadron Janson flew with.
  21. Uglies; the name given to hybrid fighters, usually piloted by pirates and formed from the remnants of both Imperial and Rebel starcraft.
  22. Veteran; Janson is one of the most senior veteran fighters of the New Republic.
  23. Wraith Squadron; the squadron which Janson aids Wedge in forming.
  24. Y–wing; the fighter in which Janson learnt to fly.
  25. Warlord Zsinj; the ex–Imperial whom the Wraiths help Han Solo hunt down.
